In early May 2021, the Municipality of Kavadarci officially adopted the Local Social Plan for the period 2021 – 2024. The municipality is already building experience in providing social services in the home and in the community. Voluntary service and community service provide support for the elderly and infirm. We are talking to the Mayor Mitko Jancev about the changes that the new social plan brings, based on the data from the mapping of the needs of the users and what are the biggest challenges.

As Mayor, I make maximum efforts, both personally and institutionally, to put all these needs for the revival of the plan on a priority list, and not to put the plan only on paper, but also to implement it in reality. The municipality will budget the plan, partly with its own funds, and part of the funds that we will request from the Ministry and other organizations, in order to be leaders in the part that will give social services meaning, functionality and long-term sustainability.
