TRAINING MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION TO MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF SOCIAL SERVICES

The training offers improvement of the knowledge, skills and abilities for monitoring and evaluation in the provision of social services and community services for people with disabilities, as well as a deeper acquaintance with the institutional set-up for monitoring and evaluation at all levels all stakeholders at local and central level. 

Intended for: 35-40 professionals from public and private service providers, Centres for Social Work (CSW), Institute for Social Activities, Social Inspectors from MLSP

TRAINING MODULE 2: DEVELOPMENT, MANAGEMENT, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF QUALITY SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES

The purpose of this training is to strengthen the knowledge, skills and competences about the meaning and importance of designing and delivering high quality social and community-based services and how the monitoring and evaluation activities can support these processes.

Intended for: 35-40 professionals from public and private service providers, Centres of Social Work

TRAINING MODULE 3: MANAGEMENT OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF INDICATORS (DATA COLLECTION AND DATA FLOW) DURING PROVISION OF SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Development and improvement of knowledge, skills and abilities for data collection and data flow according to the three types of indicators (inputs, outputs and outcomes of different types of social services – quantitative and qualitative indicators, indicators for measuring the outcome and impact of services and control indicators). 

Intended for: 35-40 professionals from public and private service providers, Centre for Social Work, Institute for Social Activities, Social Inspectors from MLSP.

TRAINING MODULE 4: Personal Planning FOR EMPLOYMENT of persons with disabilities and other VULNERABLE GROUPS

The purpose of this training is to reduce the gap between long-term unemployment and the labour market for people with disabilities and thus combat their social exclusion. Provide access to community social services and reduce the number of people housed in residential facilities.

Intended for: Centres for social work, public and private service providers, the Institute for Social Affairs, the Employment Agency.

TRAINING MODULE 5: Vocational rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups

The purpose of this training is to promote the work integration process through vocational rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities, to provide access to social services, to increase the number of employees and their inclusion in the community, as opposed to social exclusion.

TRAINING MODULE 6: Personal Planning in Social Services

The purpose of this training is to strengthen the capacities of professionals working in the social protection service system and other stakeholders involved at the local level to develop personal plans in accordance with the needs of the service beneficiary/user.

TRAINING MODULE 7: INNOVATIVE DAY CARE SERVICES

The purpose of this training is to enhance knowledge and understanding of social professionals of the basic principles of innovation in day-care children, youth and adults with disabilities services.  The training will provide the participants with skills and competences, tools and methods to develop new innovative in-house and outdoors services and activities based on personalization, group work and family and community engagement.

TRAINING MODULE 8: MANAGING SERVICE Users with difficult behaviours

The purpose of this training is to create a deeper understanding of aggressive, self-harming or destructive behaviours of children, youth and adults with disabilities. The training will provide the participants with skills and competences, tools and methods to deal with challenging behaviours, minimising risks, communication techniques, de-escalation, understanding behaviour, stress factors and personal safety for both the service user(s) and service staff.

TRAINING MODULE 9: DEVELOPMENT OF OLD AGE AND LONG TERM CARE SOCIAL SERVICES CASE STUDIES IN GERMANY

To build skills and competences to social professionals on system approaches and design of Long Term Care for Elderly and People with Disabilities with the focus on community care, mainly home care. Examples from Germany and EU.

TRAINING MODULE 10: MAPPING OF LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICES AND MAPPING OF USERS` NEEDS

Identification of current demographic structure of citizens and mapping the socio-economic challenges they face. In this context, the training will provide information on how to analyse the local situation, collect available data from official statistical sources, collect available data from administrative sources, collect available data from citizens’ associations, expert interviews and focus groups and their processing to enable creation and implementation of local policies, programs and measures in the field of social protection. Each of the steps will be based on an assessment of the capacities / resources and needs of the local community, the identified vulnerable groups and their needs, the services available and the development of new appropriate services at the local level.

TRAINING MODULE 11: DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL SOCIAL PLANS

The purpose of this training is to help strengthen the capacities of the competent institutions in municipalities (including self-government units) in the preparation of the Social Plan at the local level, in accordance with the legal obligations under Article 142 of the Law on Social Protection. The training will strengthen the capacities at the local level to take a leading role in the development of the local social services system through local initiatives and multi-sectoral cooperation.

TRAINING MODULE 12: LICENSING OF SOCIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS

The purpose of this training is to strengthen the capacity of public and private providers of social services to prepare and provide the necessary documentation for obtaining a license to perform social protection activities in accordance with the legal obligations of Articles 163 and 167 of the Law on Social Protection. In that context, public and private social service providers will build their capacity to properly interpret and apply the rules and the more closely prescribed licensing terms and criteria.

Intended for: 35-40 public and private social service providers (public institutions, local self-government units, private social service providers, civil society organizations).

TRAINING MODULE 13: LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT IN SOCIAL SERVICES

The purpose of this training is to help strengthen the understanding of Social Workers, Sociologists and other social professionals of the role of Community in the “Continuum of Care”, Informal Support systems,  Outreach service development, Network Building and Social Capital development.

Intended for: 35-40 Social Professionals in Social Work Centres, Day Care, Home Care, Social Providers

TRAINING MODULE 14: COMMUNITY WORK IN SOCIAL SERVICES – SOCIAL CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT

The purpose of this training is to help strengthen the skills and capacities of Directors and Managers of social services on the making strategic planning, manage staff caseloads, set case targets, build strong social services teamwork, enhance monitoring and evaluation processes and staff development.

Intended for: 35-40 Social Professionals in Social Work Centres, Day Care, Home Care, Social Providers.

TRAINING MODULE 15: MANAGING WORKLOADS – THE ROLE OF SUPERVISION

The purpose of this training is to help strengthen the understanding of Directors, Supervisors and Case Managers of social services on the importance of managing staff caseloads,  the role of the Supervisor in providing professional support to the Case Manager on individual cases and to the Director as advice on workload allocation.

Intended for: 35-40 Social Professionals in Social Work Centres, Day Care, Home Care, Social Providers.
